This presentation is geared towards teachers,administrators and other direct service workers. This presentation examinations the African American “tradition” playing the dozens. This practice of heating, roasting, frying or baking, as today’s youth call it, is older than this country itself; as its roots can be traced as far back as 17 th century Africa. During the workshop, participants will discover what happens when the twains of bullying and the dozens meet; and they will learn how to navigate this staple within certain African American constructs.
